God
We believe in one God, Creator of all things, eternally existing in three equally divine Persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is all-powerful, all-knowing, and unchanging.
Scripture
We believe that God has spoken in the 66 Books of the Old and New Testaments. These Scriptures are the verbally inspired Word of God and without error in their original writings. They are the complete revelation of God’s will for our salvation and the supreme and sufficient authority for what we believe and how God wants us to live.
Humanity
We believe that God created Adam and Eve in His image; but, when they sinned they incurred both physical and spiritual death, which is separation from God. As a result, all human beings are sinners by nature and by choice, and are alienated from God and under His wrath. The saving work of Jesus Christ is our only hope for rescue, reconciliation, and renewal.
Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, is fully God and fully man. He entered into His creation when He was conceived through the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, was crucified, died, and was buried. He rose bodily from the dead and ascended into heaven, where He is our High Priest and Advocate.
Salvation
We believe that Jesus Christ died in our place to pay the penalty for our sins and reconcile us to God. We receive God’s offer of forgiveness and reconciliation by trusting in His provision through Jesus’ death and resurrection. Our salvation depends totally on God’s free grace, apart from any works or merit of our own.
The Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit glorifies the Lord Jesus Christ. He convicts the world of sin and guilt. He regenerates sinners and unites them with Christ and His Body. He indwells, guides, instructs, empowers, and equips all believers for godly living and service.
The Church
We believe in one universal church, the Body of Christ, composed of all who have been united with Jesus Christ by faith. This universal church is manifest in local churches for the purpose of corporate worship, mutual edification, and united witness.
Ordinances
We believe that God has given His Church two ordinances: Baptism of believers by immersion and the Lord’s Supper. These ordinances visibly express the gospel and strengthen our faith, but they are not means of salvation.
Christian Living
We believe that our sanctification is progressive, beginning at salvation; and that it is accomplished by the power of the Holy Spirit, who enables us to grow in godliness as we yield to Him. We are to live out our faith in obedience to God’s commands and to follow Christ’s commission to make disciples of all people.
Ordinances
We believe that our Lord Jesus Christ will personally return, at a time known only to God, to reign in glory forever in the new heaven and the new earth.
Human Destiny
We believe that, when Jesus returns, the dead will be raised and judged. Those who have trusted in God’s provision through Jesus Christ will spend eternity in His blessed, joyful, and glorious presence. Those who have not trusted in Christ will be banished from God’s presence into eternal, conscious torment.
